Academy of Learning’s Accounting Clerk program will provide you with the skills necessary to apply the knowledge of elementary accounting processes, business concepts and office procedures to meet present day business demands. The objective of this program is to prepare you for an entry position into accounting in a short duration of time.
This program is designed to meet the entry-level requirements for many government accounting or administration positions. This can include municipal, provincial, and federal government along with government like organizations such as school districts, Interior and Vancouver Island Health Authorities, BC Ferries and more.
Successful candidates can pursue careers throughout the private and public sectors; typical positions include:
Grade 12 or equivalent or Mature Student Status. Courses are open to any applicant who possesses a good command of the English language and is able to follow instructions.
An admissions interview will be administered to determine if the applicant has the required interest, motivation, and entry-level skills to take this program.
Full-time students must attend the required hours per week as per the course schedule and may do so at times convenient to them.
